Alliance Formed To Develop Blood/Oncology Field Products

HemaSure Inc., Marlborough, Massachusetts, announced that it has entered into a five-year master strategic alliance with the American Red Cross Biomedical Services (ARCBS) to develop several products for the blood industry based on advanced technologies.

Both organizations contribute scientific expertise, manpower and technology towards product development and HemaSure would commercialize products resulting from the collaboration.

Areas of collaboration are expected to include:

pathogen inactivation systems for blood components and plasma for transfusion;
