FDA Clearance Received for Amicus Separator

Baxter Healthcare Corp., Deerfield, Illinois, announced that the Fenwal Division of its Biotech Group has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market the Amicus separator.

The Amicus separator is a technologically advanced blood-collection device that is quicker, easier to use, and results in higher-quality platelet products for patients in need of transfusion, according to Baxter Healthcare. The device supports the objectives of enhancing the quality of transfusion products and improving patient care.
