"Lymph Nodes (LN) Expansion of CD4 Lymphocytes With Anti-HIV-1 Drugs."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the Ninth Symposium on HIV Infection entitled From Virology ... To Therapy, held March 6-8, 1997, in Toulon, France, "Objective: to determine the origin of CD4 cells that are produced during potent anti-retroviral regimens. Methods: 22 patients have been analyzed in blood and LN before and several times after the initiation of a protease inhibitor. Seven patients were drug naive and received ZDV/DDI/3TC/Saquinavir, 15 were on RT inhibitors and received INDINAVIR (12 cases) or RITONAVIR in addition.
