Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Manual Field Tested

A hands-on workshop conducted in Kenya put a new manual developed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to the test.

The manual is entitled "VHF Precautions: Managing Infection Control of Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers in an African Health Care Setting." Written by the Special Pathogens Branch, Division of Viral and Rickettsial diseases, of the CDC, it is a guide for health care workers managing disease outbreak situations.
