According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 26th Annual Meeting of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology, held September 18-20, 1997, in Phoenix, Arizona, "The effect of epoetin alfa (Eprex, Janssen) was determined in an open label trial on the hemoglobin (Hb) levels of 21 Filipino patients recruited from two cancer clinics, the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) and the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC).
