These adhesives are not available commercially in the U.S., however, because the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been concerned about the risk that these adhesives, which are formed from plasma collected from hundreds of donors, might spread viral diseases such as hepatitis or AIDS, according to William D.
