According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 37th ICAAC, held September 28 - October 1, 1997, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, "The prevalence of hepatitis C virus infection is generally not known in the Caribbean. A study was undertaken to determine hepatitis C virus (HCV) antibody prevalence in different population in the Trinidad and Tobago.
