Ramendra Krishna Kunda and a team of researchers from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine, the USC Gene Therapy Laboratories, the Children's Hospital, California, and the University of Michigan, developed a murine model of hemophilia B ("Targeted Inactivation of the Coagulation Factor IX Gene Causes Hemophilia B in Mice", Blood, July 1, 1998;92(1):168-74).
