Canada's Health Minister Announces Comprehensive Hepatitis C Proposal

Canada's Health Minister Allan Rock has presented a comprehensive proposal to his provincial and territorial counterparts to provide better hepatitis C disease prevention and treatment, significantly strengthen blood safety, and help Canadians infected with hepatitis C through the blood system prior to 1986 and after 1990.

The Minister presented the proposal on September 18, 1998, at the annual meeting of Federal/Provincial/Territorial Ministers of Health being held in Regina.
