Maria B. Lee and Holly M. Gilbert, St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York reported on the 41-year-old man who developed cutaneous leishmaniasis after a trip to South America ("Current Approach to Leishmaniasis," Infections in Medicine, 1999;16:34,37-45).
