mNAP Assay Is Simple, Useful

A simple immunofluorescence assay is suitable for the differential diagnosis of hematological disorders, researchers indicated.

M. Shibano and colleagues studied the expression of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) on the surface membrane of neutrophils (mNAP) by immunofluorescence using an anti-ALP monoclonal antibody ("Assessment of Alkaline Phosphatase on the Surface Membrane of Neutrophils by Immunofluorescence," American Journal of Hematology, January 1999;60(1):12-18).

They used fluorescence-activated cell sorter to analyze the fluorescent intensity distribution of mNAP.
