Fas/FasL Pathway Blockade May Be Beneficial

Blockade of the Fas/Fas ligand pathway may be useful in treating graft-versus-host disease without impairing graft-versus-leukemia effect in allogeneic bone marrow transplant recipients.

Allogeneic bone marrow transplantation (allo-BMT) is associated with both graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and graft-versus-leukemia (GVL) effect.
