F.M. Rollwagen and colleagues, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, Maryland, used a murine model of hemorrhage and resuscitation to measure ischemic consequences of ischemia and reperfusion injury.
Rollwagen et al. presented their study, titled "Orally Administered IL-6 As Protection from Hemorrhage Induced Apoptosis," at the First International Congress on Cytokines/Chemokines in Infectious Diseases held September 8-10, 1999 in Bethesda, Maryland, USA.
