Company Acquires Rights to Blood Filtration Technique to Remove Viruses

Aethlon Medical Inc., (formally known as Bishop Equities Inc.) announced that it has acquired the rights to a new medical device technology designed to remove various viruses from the blood.

Aethlon Medical is a developer of medical devices that treat a wide range of medical conditions through extracorporeal therapies, with operations in La Jolla, California, and Buffalo, New York.

The acquired technology applies a blood filtration technique developed by Hemex Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aethlon Medical, in a novel combination of surface modification technology and synthetic DNA hybridization technology. By embedding both antibodies and...
