Global Plasma Therapeutics Association Formed

The European Association of the Plasma Products Industry (EAPPI) and the International Plasma Products Industry Association (IPPIA) announced their plans today to join forces to create a single, global association representing the plasma therapeutics industry.

The mission of the newly created organization, named the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA), is to promote the availability of high quality, safe, and effective plasma protein therapeutics. Every year, over 1 million people worldwide receive plasma therapeutics in treating diseases and serious medical conditions such as bleeding disorders, immune system deficiencies, burns, and shock.
