A report published in the journal Transfusion states that cesarean section delivery can decrease the chances of infants acquiring this virus from their mothers.
Fukushima School of Medicine researchers in Japan issued the report as a result of studying serum samples of almost 3,000 pregnant women. H. Ohto was the lead author of the study.
