Research Initiative Launched to Expedite Cures for Blood-Related Cancers

To accelerate the discovery of breakthrough therapies to cure or control blood-related cancer - leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma - The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society announced one of the most ambitious research initiatives ever undertaken in the attack on blood-related cancers.

The new Specialized Center of Research (SCOR) program, which is funded entirely by private donations to the Society, earmarks the same level of research dollars for blood-related cancers that until recently have been available primarily through the U.S. federal government.
