Patients More Optimistic Than Physicians About Expected Outcome

Patients undergoing stem cell transplantation are significantly more optimistic than their physicians about their chance for survival, and remain optimistic, even as the likelihood of poor outcomes increases, according to an article in the February 28, 2001, issue of The Journal of the American Medical Association.
