Indeed, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has allowed cells from pig fetuses to be implanted experimentally into the brains of Parkinson disease patients. A Massachusetts company for 10 years has grown burn victims skin grafts using mouse "feeder" cells like those at issue with stem cell research.
