Cryoablation Safety Profiled In Animal Models

Two leading cardiology research centers presented technical abstracts detailing the advantages of cryoenergy over radiofrequency-based (RF) treatments in reducing both thrombogenicity and the risk of coronary artery stenosis when treating cardiac arrhythmias.

These two animal studies from The Montreal Heart Institute and The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, used Freezor technology from CryoCath Technologies, the world leader in cryotherapy products to treat cardiovascular disease, to generate their findings. The papers were presented at the American Heart Association conference in Anaheim, California, November 13, 2001.
