Acute Myelogenous Leukemia

Patients Sought For Participation In Clinical Trial Of FLT3 Inhibitor

James Griffin, MD, the principal investigator of one of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Specialized Centers of Research (SCOR), has announced the start of a clinical trial to treat acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) with a new type of molecularly targeted therapy.

The announcement took place during the Society's annual Corporate Friday program, "Application of the New Biology to the Diagnosis and Treatment of Hematologic Malignancies," on December 7, 2001, in Orlando, Florida.
