Dr. Nicolaus Kroeger and colleagues at the University of Hamburg compared the benefits and drawbacks of two doses of recombinant G-CSF, or filgrastim, for hematopoietic stem cell donors.
Higher filgrastim doses produced higher stem cell yields but increased the severity of G-CSF-associated side effects as well, Kroeger and coauthors found.
