aaiPharma announces issuance of cilostazol patent

aaiPharma, Inc., (AAII) announced the issuance of a patent filed by the company relating to cilostazol.

The patent, entitled "Polymorphic forms of 6-[4-(1-cyclohexyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl)butoxy]-3,4-dihydro-2(1H)- quinolinone," U.S. Patent No. 6,388,080, was issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on May 14, 2002.

Cilostazol is a known arterial vasodilator and antiplatelet agent that is used to treat the symptoms associated with intermittent claudication, a potentially debilitating condition that causes leg pain when exercising.
