Prescient obtains allowance for cell therapy packaging technology

NeuroPharma, Inc., (PRE) President and CEO Anthony J. Giovinazzo announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted a notice of allowance for claims to a method for producing neuronal cell aggregates which are suitable for transplantation.

This technology will assist in cell therapy initiatives to improve the numbers and percentage of relevant neurons surviving both before and after transplantation in Parkinson and other diseases. The patent covers technology for packaging of cells regardless of the source of cells.
