CIRAD, Institut Pasteur and IRD partners in research on emerging vector-borne diseases

On July 8, 2002 the Centre for International Cooperation in Agronomic Research for Development (CIRAD), the Institut Pasteur and the Institut de Recherche pour le Developpement (IRD) signed a framework agreement to work in partnership on emerging vector-borne diseases.

These three institutions are developing complementary activities in the countries of the South in different areas of biomedical research (human or animal health, studies on pathogenic agents, vectors or ecosystems, genome investigations). They recently decided to intensify their partnership. Each will bring its special expertise to benefit research on emerging diseases.
