ISBT 128 blood component labeling goes live with SafeTrace donor system

Wyndgate Technologies, a division of Global Med Technologies, Inc., (GLOB), announced the implementation of its SafeTrace donor management system at St. Luke's Episcopal Health System in Houston, Texas.

Included in this implementation is the use of the new International Society of Blood Transfusion ("ISBT") 128 Blood Component Labeling Standard, making St. Luke's one of the first hospitals in the United States to use the new means of labeling blood components.
