Intensified prophylaxis against graft-versus-host reactions enables haploidentical stem cell transplantation for acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients.

Researchers in Japan described their experience treating "a patient with refractory T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia who successfully underwent unmanipulated stem cell transplantation from an HLA 3-loci mismatched (haploidentical) sibling."
