Platelet-derived growth factor upregulates megakaryocytic transcription factors

PDGF "is a platelet alpha-granule protein," according to researchers in China who previously "demonstrated the expression of PDGF receptors on platelets and megakaryocytic cells, and that PDGF enhanced the proliferation of megakaryocytic progenitor cells."
