New Revimid data shows potential as MDS treatment

Data presented at the Seventh International Symposium on Myelodysplastic Syndromes in Paris demonstrated Revimid (CC-5013) as a potential new agent for treating myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS).

MDSs are malignant disorders of blood cell production and affect approximately 250,000-300,000 people worldwide, and which eventually lead to acute leukemia. The study shows that Revimid reduced or eliminated the need for red blood cell transfusions in anemic patients who had been using transfusions.
