People with T. solium asymptomatic neurocysticercosis have a TH2 profile

People with exposure to Taenia solium and those with asymptomatic neurocysticercosis (NC) have different cytokine profiles; the neurologically diseased have a TH2 profile.

According to a study from Mexico, "NC, a parasitic disease caused by Taenia solium, may be either asymptomatic or have mild to severe symptoms due to several factors. In this study, the immunological factors that underlie NC pleomorphism were studied.
