Company reports progress in development of hESC-based therapies

Geron Corp. (GERN) announced the presentation of results demonstrating significant progress in its development of cell therapies based on human embryonic stem cells (hESCs).

In nine presentations at the annual meeting of the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) in Boston, Massachusetts, Geron and its collaborators reported advancements in the differentiation of hESCs to therapeutic cell types, the engraftment of these differentiated cells in animal models, and the production of cells for eventual clinical testing.
