ILT2 expression may interfere with CD8 cell function by suppressing IFN-gamma

According to recent research published in the journal Immunology, "We investigated whether inhibitory natural killer cell receptor (iNKR) expression contributes to impaired antigen-specific cytotoxicity and interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) production by CD8 T cells during chronic infection."
