Contract signed with America's Blood Centers for disease testing

AcroMetrix Corporation has completed negotiations with America's Blood Centers (ABC) to provide quality control products for both nucleic acid (NAT) and EIA testing to the 76 members of America's Blood Centers.

Currently the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires that 11 different tests for infectious diseases be performed on blood donations, including NAT tests for both hepatitis C and HIV-1. ABC members collected and tested over 8 million units of blood in 2004.
