Researchers detail new studies and findings in the area of hematology

Hematology data are the focus of recent research from the United States and Germany.

Study 1: Erythropoietin and its receptor regulate angiogenesis during embryonic growth.

"Erythropoietin (EPO) is an essential growth factor that regulates erythrocyte production in mammals. In this study, we demonstrate a novel role of EPO in regulating angiogenesis in vivo. Epo and Epo receptor (EpoR) are expressed in the vasculature during embryogenesis," researchers in the United States report.
