Basiliximab may reduce incidence of acute organ rejection in lung transplants

According to a study from Spain, "Basiliximab is a chimeric anti-interleukin-2 monoclonal antibody that has shown safety and efficacy in the prophylaxis of acute organ rejection in renal, liver, heart, and kidney-pancreas transplantation. The aim of this study was to present our initial experience with the use of Basiliximab in lung Tx."
