Researchers report details of new studies and findings in the area of transplant medicine

Transplant medicine data are the focus of recent research from Canada, Italy and Netherlands.

Study 1: Valganciclovir is suitable for use in the management of cytomegalovirus (CMV) disease in patients undergoing solid organ transplantation.

In a recent study from Canada, "virologic and clinical outcomes" in valganciclovir-treated transplant recipients "were compared with those in matched historical control individuals."
