Resveratrol treatment during storage reduces vein graft endothelial damage

The use of a resveratrol-based solution can reduce endothelial damage in heart bypass vein grafts during storage. "Endothelial injury in human saphenous vein grafts may occur during harvesting and storage, which may have an adverse effect on coronary artery bypass grafting outcome," thoracic surgeons in New York explained.
