Scientists advocated that during treatment of prostate cancer, correction of anemia must also be considered.

According to a study from France, "Abnormal laboratory parameters are frequently observed during the course of prostate cancer. Anemia, often due to multifactorial causes, develops progressively and essentially depends on the stage of the disease and the therapeutic strategy."
