KP infection decreased blood TNF-alpha and increased blood IL-1 beta levels in DM mice

The infection with Klebsielia pneumoniae from liver abscess decreased the blood TNF-alpha levels and increased the blood IL-1 beta levels in diabetes mellitus mice. "Besides urinary tract infection (UTI) and pneumonia, increased severe liver abscesses caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae (KP), especially in diabetic patients, have been observed in infections acquired in hospitals.
