Carotid angioplasty with a novel stent implant effective in an experimental model

In a chronic porcine carotid model, a novel stent system demonstrated good conformability and resulted in minimal vessel injury and neointimal formation.

According to recent research published in the journal Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, "Carotid angioplasty with stent placement has been proposed as an alternative method for revascularization of carotid artery stenosis.
