Coronary artery bypass graft critical occlusion pressure measurement is discussed

Critical occlusion pressure in arterial grafts should be used as the effective downstream pressure when calculating coronary perfusion pressure.

"The objective of this study was to describe the diastolic pressure-flow relationship and to assess critical occlusion pressure in arterial coronary bypass grafts in human beings. Fifteen patients were studied following elective surgical coronary artery bypass grafting," researchers in Germany report.
