Findings from Belgium, the United States and Japan in lung cancer provide new insights

Reports from Belgium, the United States and Japan highlight recent research in lung cancer.

Study 1: Thyroid transcription factor-1 does not predict survival in stage III nonsmall cell lung cancer.

"Stage III NSCLC represents a heterogeneous group and the ISS remains unsatisfactory in term of prognosis prediction. The aim of the present study was to determine the role of TTF-1 as prognostic factor in stage III NSCLC in addition to other known clinical factors," scientists in Belgium report.
