Safe Blood Foundation, Chinese Ministry of Health partner to develop blood quality manual

In an effort to implement new health policy standards to help prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS in China, the Safe Blood for China Foundation is partnering with the Chinese Ministry of Health and its National Center for Clinical Laboratories to institute a national blood quality manual for the country's national blood banking system.

National Center for Clinical Laboratories is the top regulatory and standard setting agency for clinical laboratories in China. The comprehensive manual will be co-authored by the Safe Blood for China Foundation and the Chinese Ministry of Health and will be implemented first in Liaoning and Yunnan provinces.
