New research from Switzerland and the United States in the area of transplants detailed

Investigators in Switzerland and the United States have published new transplants data.

Study 1: Chronic cardiac allograft rejection is associated with endothelin converting enzyme-1 upregulation in the host liver.

According to recent research published in the journal Experimental Biology and Medicine, "Endothelin regulates cytokine expression in vitro and in vivo. This study investigated the effects of chronic allograft rejection on hepatic endothelin-converting enzyme-1 (ECE-1) gene expression and endothelin-1 (ET-1) plasma clearance."
