Antifungal therapy not warranted at initial invasive aspergillosis diagnosis

Combination antifungal therapy is not warranted at the initial diagnosis of invasive aspergillosis in stem cell transplantation recipients.

According to a recent review published in the journal Current Opinion in Infectious Diseases, "The use of combination antifungal therapy in hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation patients is controversial and limited by a paucity of controlled data.
