Researchers from Greece, Italy and Japan report details of new studies and findings in the area of herpes

Herpes data are the focus of recent research from Greece, Italy and Japan.

Study 1: The incidence of herpes simplex virus-1 is 48.2% in radiation-induced oral mucositis.

According to recent research from Greece, "The aim of the study was to investigate the incidence of herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV-1) infection in mucositis during head and neck cancer radiotherapy. Sixty patients with malignant head and neck tumor, eligible to receive radiotherapy, who were referred to the Dental Oncology Unit, entered the study.
