Sevoflurane effects on cytokines in patients undergoing CABG are investigated

According to a study from Japan, "The effects of sevoflurane on proinflammatory cytokines related to ischemic-reperfusion injury are not clear. The hypothesis was tested that sevoflurane decreases myocardial ischemic-reperfusion injury by suppressing proinflammatory cytokines. This was a prospective, randomized study conducted at a medical university heart center."
