Scientists at Technical University Munchen describe research in coagulation prevention

New investigation results, "The use of a surgical patch coated with human coagulation factors in surgical routine: a multicenter postauthorization surveillance," are detailed in a study published in Clinical and Applied Thrombosis. "Local hemostyptic agents are of great value to significantly reduce bleeding complications and various devices have become available for clinical use. The aim of this multicenter postauthorization surveillance was to study the surgeons' expectations regarding efficacy and safety of the surgical patch coated with human coagulation factors (TachoSil) under routine clinical conditions," scientists in Germany report.
