Research from Gunma University provides new data about obesity genetics

A new study, "Ischemia/reperfusion in rat heart induces leptin and leptin receptor gene expression," is now available. According to a study from Maebashi, Japan, "Concentrations of leptin, an adipocyte-derived hormone, are elevated in obesity. Recently, leptin has been shown to participate in multiple biological actions including inflammation, reproduction, and angiogenesis."
