Report summarizes ischemia study findings from Gulhane Military Medical Academy, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery

New research, "Protective effects of antioxidant medications on limb ischemia reperfusion injury," is the subject of a report. "N-acetylcysteine, beta-glucan, and coenzyme Q(10) were shown to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects on reperfusion injury. The aim of our study was to determine and evaluate the effects of these agents on ischemia reperfusion injury of limb," scientists in Ankara, Turkey report.
